About Jenni Kalsola

Nothing is what it at first seems. The surface opens up and reveals new layers.

My studio is full of different disused objects. I examine, collect and wonder as I work. At last I assemble and paint the information into a piece of work.

The core of my art is the interest to examine things that have surfaced while mirroring our history. However, not everything can be put into sentences, because they’re not visible yet.

I have painted the life around me and the thoughts within me. The words are in my pieces of work.
